RESEARCH
An open platform for detection research
The Salvus® Detection Platform is available for label-free detection research. Bring your own receptor chemistry, develop new detection targets, and leverage our conjugation and technical support to accelerate your work. If your research leads to a commercially viable detection target, we have a path to turn that into a product.
LABEL-FREE PLATFORM
What "label-free" means for your research
The Salvus Detection Platform detects molecular binding events via evanescent-field interferometry — no fluorescent labels, no secondary antibodies, no signal amplification required. This makes it uniquely suited to novel receptor development and binding kinetics studies.
- No pre-labeling of targets or receptors required
- Real-time binding kinetics — watch association and dissociation as they happen
- Compatible with antibodies, aptamers, synthetic receptors, and molecularly imprinted polymers
- Quantitative detection from binding curve analysis
- Adaptable to liquid, air, and surface detection matrices
- Compact portable form factor — usable at bench or in the field

LABEL-FREE PLATFORM
Your research tools
The Salvus Detection Platform detects molecular binding events via evanescent-field interferometry — no fluorescent labels, no secondary antibodies, no signal amplification required. This makes it uniquely suited to novel receptor development and binding kinetics studies. We can supply you with the components of our technology that are most useful to your research, whether that be our Salvus PRISM™ (Portable Real-time Interferometric Sensing Module), cartridges, Salvus APEX™ (Automated Portable EXtraction module), or conjugation kit support. We can provide empty cartridges for receptor conjugation, as well as conjugation chemistry support.
FROM RESEARCH TO PRODUCT
A path from your lab to the real world
If your research produces a validated detection capability on the Salvus Detection Platform, we can help you take it further with options that include developing as a new cartridge that works with the existing Salvus PRISM, or as a custom form factor for a specific deployment context. We’ll work with you to find the right path forward for your project.
New detection cartridge
Your validated receptor chemistry becomes the basis for a production-ready cartridge that runs on the Salvus PRISM. We handle assay engineering, coating layer optimization, and cartridge manufacturing — you get co-development credit and early access.
Suitable when: You have a validated receptor for a new target and want to see it deployed commercially on the existing platform.
Custom form factor
Your research points to a deployment context the standard portable unit doesn't fit — a fixed monitoring station, an inline process sensor, or a novel environment. We take the Salvus detection core and engineer it into the physical configuration your application requires.
Suitable when: Your application requires continuous monitoring, remote deployment, or integration with existing infrastructure.
Not sure which path fits your research?
Tell us about your detection target, receptor approach, and intended application — we'll help you understand what a commercialization path could look like and whether our platform is the right fit.
