OUR STORY
From research to the field
The technology behind the Salvus® Detection Platform was developed over more than two decades at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. In 2018, Salvus was formed to license that technology and bring it out of the lab and into the hands of people who need it.
Since then, we have focused on validating performance, building a commercial-grade portable form factor, and developing the assay chemistry to detect the substances that regulators, industries, and communities are most concerned about.
Evanescent-field waveguide technology developed at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI).
Salvus, LLC formed as a member of CJB Companies. Licensed GTRI technology for commercial development. Provisional Salvus process patent filed.
Waveguide manufacturer identified. Manufacturing methods and application patents filed. First commercial waveguides produced.
Public launch of Salvus technology. Land for manufacturing facility purchased. Appearance prototype delivered.
R&D operational prototypes V1.0 and V1.1 delivered. Salvus cartridges CF0.0 and CF0.1 delivered. Development portal 0.1 delivered. Moved into manufacturing facility. First platform one-pagers published. Solutions for PFAS, food, agriculture, and industrial use scenarios introduced.
PFOA detection white paper published. Total long-chain PFAS (C6+) solution in commercialization. Participation in industry symposiums and conferences.
Lab testing services launched. In-field pilot program active with PFAS destruction and AFFF cleanout customers. Three-stage engagement model formalized.
